Led by Xero Certified Trainers, it is hands-on practice in the software modern workplaces actually run on, so you go into an interview having used it rather than having read about it.

A break from work does not remove what you know about running an office. What it removes is recent practice on the tools every job ad now lists.
The job ads all name software
Xero, Microsoft Office, a payroll system. Knowing the work is not the same as being able to say you have used the thing they named.
Confidence goes before competence does
Most people returning after a break can do far more than they will claim on an application. The practice is what closes that distance.
Nobody wants to learn on a real employer's file
Working it out on the job, under pressure, in front of somebody else's accounts is the worst possible time to meet payroll for the first time.

Some job seekers may be able to access support through their employment services provider, subject to approval before you enrol. It cannot be arranged afterwards, so speak to your provider before you pay for anything.

Questions we are asked most
Do I need any bookkeeping experience to start?
No. It starts at the fundamentals of both Microsoft Office and Xero, and assumes you have not used either recently. If you already work in Xero every day, the advanced courses are a better fit.
Is it online or in person?
Either. It runs over Zoom for anyone in Australia, or in person at our Xero Training Centre on the Gold Coast, and the scheduling is flexible because most people are fitting it around other commitments.
Do I get anything to show an employer?
Yes, a completion certificate. The more useful thing is that you will have used the software rather than only read about it, which is what changes how an interview goes.
Can I get help with the cost?
Possibly. Some job seekers can access support through their employment services provider, and two things decide whether that is you: it is at the provider's discretion, and it has to be approved before you enrol. It cannot be arranged after you have paid, so speak to your provider first if you think it might apply.
